Can you name some vehicles that have a touchscreen navigation/entertainment system? I know that the Jaguar XF uses a touch screen Nav system while BMW's mini uses a monitor with switches and controls. I need to find as many vehicles that use a touchscreen based system.

Can I upgrade the radio on a 2010 Ford Escape? Is it possible to replace the radio in a 2010 Ford Escape if it has factory installed SYNC and Sirus Radio? I wouldn't mind changing the factory radio out for a double-din touchscreen or Navigation system. Is the Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge MyGiG Navigation better than it used to be? I am looking to trade in a 2007 Chrysler town and Country for a new 08 model. In the 2007 model, the Navteq navigation system was basically worthless. I live in the country, and a lot of the roads (mostly endpoints in neighborhoods) were left out, and it wasn't touchscreen. I am aware that the new MyGiG system is touchscreen, and it looks really conducive to what i want. However, i am still a little wary about the navigation system; other than being touchscreen, is it any better? 3d is always nice, but it's still no substitute for having better directions. In short, has anyone ever had experience with the 2008 nav system, and what do they think? Would it be a better deal to buy a $200 garmin?

is there a way to add navigation to the media centre 430 radio dodge? I am getting a great deal on a new Dodge Grand Caravan SE. It has the "Media Centre 430" radio which has a 6.5" touchscreen, CD/DVD, and a 30 GB harddrive. What it dosent have is navigation. Dodge offers a "Media Centre 730" on the SXT models which is the same as the 430 but has navigation. Does anyone know if its possible to install something (Gps reciever??) so that the 430 can have navigation? I hate the clunky rotator that comes w/ BMWs default navigation system, so Im trying to figure out if its beneficial to buy a market system instead. Could someone please help translate into English Japanese words on my Honda's navigation system? Hello from NZ. I've a 07 Crossroad SUV from Japan which has a built in DVD GPS navigation system. It has loads of features like bluetooth, voice control, integrated phone, GPS, TV, Sound Container HDD, all touchscreen BUT all menu commands and instrucdtions are in Japanese which I don't read. The GPS still reads a Japanese map, not a NZ one. I have no idea how to operate any of these things and cannot find English language instructions on the system anywhere. Which phone do you think is better? Is the Samung Rant or Samsung Instinct a better phone in general? I like the touchscreen, and i also like the slider keyboard. However I looked at some reviews and ratings on both of the phones and the Instinct lacked in quality of instant messaging and calling. The only flaw of the Rant was the navigation system which I do not think is bad at all. What are your reviews on both phones? Which is better?

why isn't my ipod working in my car? I recently just got a new touchscreen deck with built in navigation system. I have to connect my ipod (at the bottom) to it in order for it to play. When i do connect it, it shows the ipod is working and playing, but no music is coming out of it. Any thoughts on how to fix it?

Double din stereo = car safety threat? I've decided that i am going to buy my girlfriend a new car stereo for her birthday. Her car is a 2007 Versa, which currently has a stock double-din stereo. I've heard that there are many car break-ins due to aftermarket double-din stereos. Now, she just wants a basic one, not a touchscreen or anything fancy. Im just worried that with even a basic double-din stereo her car would be a big threat with thieves. I've looked around online at some of them and all of them are non-detachable faceplates from the stereo unit. I tried to convince her to get a single-din stereo, but she refuses, as she doesnt want another little kubby-hole, since the car already came with one. So what i'm asking is this: Would it be a good idea to get her a double-din stereo? Are there any ways to maybe conceal the cd player while away from the car or add any other safeties? Are there any basic (non-touchscreen/dvd/navigation) double-din stereos that actually do have a detachable faceplate? Also, if she does change her mind and go with the single-din stereo, are there kits that can hide the gap/empty space that would be under the newly installed single-din stereo? Thanks alot!

GPS Navigations Systems? Ok I need some help. I want to get a GPS Navigation system put into my car.I really want to get a GPS put into my car. But I've been debating on which one is the best....In Dash?....Portable?....Laptop? Right now I have the Laptop GPS, and of course it is not touchscreen and you have to carry around this laptop (which is really nice to have because I didn't have one before. :) But lets say you go "Off Route"...the in dash and portable will recaculate and reroute you to tell you where to go, but the laptop does not, you have to do it manually. The laptop also has more options that you can put the time in and it will tell you the time that you get there. Does the Portable and In Dash also do that? At least with these, you don't have to use Mapquest anymore. Which is the best to get, does anyone know. Just need some help in which is best. I guess I thought they all had voice guidance because even my laptop Microsoft Streets and Roads GPS has voice prompts.

LG Secret or Samsung Tocco? I've been looking around and I've come across these two cell phones and unfortunately I'm torn. These are both super slim (the secret being slimmer) 5MP shooters and I love them both so much. I love the design of the Secret as well as the carbon fiber and the tempered glass. I also like the slider, the cool accelerometer and frankly I like the "neon touch navigation." What I don't like is the limited touchscreen (seriously if you're not gonna put a WHOLE touchscreen, don't bother) and the UI is nowhere near iPhone-esque. As for the Tocco, I love the FULL 2.8" touchscreen, interesting and fun UI as well as the sleek design (nowhere near as sexy as the secret tho). Plus, this phone comes SOMEWHAT close to the iPhone when it comes to responsiveness. The cons on this one I find is the occasional sluggishness and no virtual keyboard? Come on! Please help me out (and no, a cool name brand like Samsung does not impress me) and if you know any other cool slim cell phones with DECENT cameras let me know (I've looked at the Viewty as well as the Soul).

need help choosing between these phones? my upgrade is soon and i need help deciding on a phone to get. the phones below are what im narrowed down to, i need a phone with a good keyboard, i do love touchscreen phones but my concern is the on screen keyboard, i need one with a strong battery to last me at least a day and a half or more, and also a sturdy and durable phone that if i dropped wouldnt break. these are my choices Samsung Eternity: This touchscreen phone looks great, i heard the battery is amazing and call quality, the on screen keyboard is great to. LG Incite: I love LG phones, i used to have the shine, but the battery sucked on it. Ive heard this phone has 8 hours of talk time, so the battery life on this phone has been improved upon other LG Models but i dont want to make a mistake. I love the look of this phone, but i heard the touchscreen was a little iffy and the on screen keyboards were hard to use. AT&T Quickfire: I absolutely love the touchscreen and slide out qwerty that idea is amazing. The only complaints i have about this phone would be it can only hold 500 contacts...and also idk about battery life some people say its good and others say its horrible. If it can last me a day and a half (i text alot and sometimes i make a few short phone calls) then id get this one. BlackBerry Curve 8320 - Sapphire Blue: I love blackberries, the keyboards are great, the call quality is great, its a strong phone. The only complaint would be the pearl, i hate it. cause ppl have problems with that stupid navigation getting stuck and even my cousin has that problem. so please help me choose one of these phones based on what ive said, like i need a phone that has a strong battery life, is durable, good call quality, and an easy keyboard for messaging! also, im also interested in getting the blackberry 8820. also, the lg incite and the blackberry 8820 have wi-fi....is the wifi free? or do i need a plan?

System/Electrical Advice for 2007 Lincoln Navigator? I have done some research over the last couple of weeks trying to figure out which setup will sound the best. is it better to go with: 2 Kicker L7 15s (2ohm) with the Kicker ZX2500.1 or 2 Kicker L7 15's (4ohm) with the Hifonics bxi2608d (which seems to have more power but 400 dollars cheaper) also, will I need to upgrade my alternator since it already comes with a 130amp alternator or will batteries do the trick? I know I will have to upgrade the "Big 3" from reading different answers but anything else? either way, I am not sure which is best. The Navigator comes with a Factory Headunit with THX Certified Audio and Navigation system which has 14 speakers and a 600 watt amp already. I also purchased two Kenwood touchscreen monitors for it as well. So, after doing research and spending hours reading yahoo answers, I need some advice before making my final decision. Note: This is mainly for recreational listening as well. Any helpful advice to make the system better will be greatly appreciated. thanks
